Construction Party Cake

a little construction project for little Henry's

2nd birthday~ i was given a picture of the invite

and tried to use bright colors from construction

zones i see for the base, then made the cones, 

rocks and etc to go with the cake. it was a

fun one to do, especially making the little

street signs for around the cake~ 

Topsy Turvy Tee Time Cake

~topsy turvy golf cake that worked out nicely in combination with fathers day and my brothers birthday with the family, and both golf- so double whammy!  I didnt get a chance to do a border on the bottom cause it was kind of last minute, so i had to use a board I had sprayed pink, i tried to cover it with chocolate fondant, it still showed a little though, and it was surprisingly stable to transport in my car!

 

Summer Bridal Shower and Treats

a shower for my sister in law that was on a june afternoon in my backyard- thank goodness for no rain! its a girl, so we did colors in pastels that matched the invitation, a diaper cake complete with baby's first tutu and headband, yummy goodies and a baby topped block cake.

 Food table decorated in pastels and bunting to match the invitations and theme around the shower, drink was cucumber limeade, had sugar cookies in onsies, bottles and baby feet and sixletts to snack on, also had sugar cookies wrapped with printable as a take home "thank you"

 

Rustic Mountain Wedding Cake

a rustic wedding up in the canyons on a pretty summer day- the brides colors were pale golds and neutrals, and so here we have three cakes frosted in a lemony ivory buttercream frosting and then brushed all over with gold luster dust.

they are displayed on my authentic wood tree bases, and were frosted in a vintage rose tip

 

Curious George Cake

 ~my little pony cake with rainbow white almond cake and a light whipped buttercream frosting between the six layers.  finished off with rainbow hearts, clouds,stars & pony

 

Baby Belly Cake

~ ok, so its not really a birthday type cake- but i thought it was a cute idea and wanted to give it a try for my sister in law, whom i'm also throwing a shower for and wanted to do a cute girly cake for that~ i knew she wouldnt mind so i gave it a whirl with a cute spring dress~
